About Our Facility
Constructed in 1918, the Exchange Building served as a commissary store for soldiers stationed here at Jefferson Barracks. After World War II, it was decommissioned and used for a variety of purposes to support the post until acquired by the Missouri Civil War Museum. After a five-year historic restoration, the building is now used as the museum’s main events venue and available to the public for rental.
