Join professional metal detectorist Susannah Kriegshauser of the Gateway Metal Detecting Club for a class on metal detecting basics. Topics will include purchasing the right equipment, the rules and regulations of detecting, hunt sites and research, and tips and tricks of the trade. On display will be detecting equipment, various finds Susannah has recovered in England and the US, as well as dug items of the Civil War.

Seating is limited to 40 guests each night and you must reserve your spot early by calling the museum at 314-845-1861.

Come spend a warm evening with fellow museum supporters and be some of the first to see the new expanded 2016 exhibits throughout the museum.

The Missouri Civil War Museum is hosting the US Grant Symposium III, a two-day lecture series focusing on the life, and military and political careers of Ulysses S. Grant. slide7Come to the Museum on February 18, 2017 between 10:00am and 12:00pm to see the Fords Unlimited Car Club! Featuring all types of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles from all through the years. Drivers and club members will be there for questions, as well.

This event will be weather dependent.
